"Surreal"
I grew up near the Salvador Dali mueseum in St. Pete. Loved the place. Got really into Dali. Fast forward to being uh...."in lust" a few years later. This song is actually a love song with surreal imagery lyrics. Also, I used the name "Caroline" fancing it the girl from the Furs' "Pretty in Pink" ("Caroline waits and it's raining all day..") a bit older in a sequel.

"Americanized" (original version)
This original version didn't have the "Buy, Sell, Lie - Live, Fight, Die" counter chorus back ups. The song was really half finished at this point. But still cool.

I bet you wish you had a quarter for every time you had to said "I'm Sorry". We'd all be millionaires. If you've ever been stuck in a dead end relationship where you can't seem to do anything right to the other person - and you just keep saying "I'm sorry" then you know what I'm talking about!

 Another lust song with some great sexual undertones. Growing up the beaches I spent many a date watching the "harmoninous motion" of the waves. Then theres the swim with the sharks reference. If you're happy in lust and you know it then this song's for you.

"Consider Yourself Lucky"
Man I was pissed off when writing this. This one is a few different things all rolled into one. After being cheated on I felt the "person" responsible (and I use the term loosely) was pretty lucky I didn't kick his ass physically (only mentally)! Also the song is a bit about you guys in the audience being dam lucky to see Atomsplit! Well now, isn't that cocky!?

This one is one of our more interesting songs. I've always said it's either about self gratification or divinity. I'm really not sure. Overall it feels like it's about letting go and going with the flow and believing that you can "have it all". And keeping hope alive all along.
