| This project started because of a realization that life is too short to let songs get away. I have tapes and tapes and tapes of unfinished fragments of original songs. Some really awesome. Some really stupid. And some really suck.
But ultimately there's nothing I like more than creative process of writing songs.
So, upon noticing the coolness factor of podcasting, and the fact that is based on audio as opposed not just words on a page (as in website page), I thought it could be a great medium for musical art.
I decided to challenge myself to do it. But not just to sit down and talk into a mic every week about random topics. But to try to create something completely new. Something musical that hadn't been pulled from the ether into reality. Every week. And take a chance of it sometimes being decent. And sometimes maybe not so decent.
Being an indie rock song writer for years has allowed me to produce a handful of nicely recorded CDs. But this podcast deal would have to be different. It would have to be faster. And being faster it would be more satisfying.
To me. And hopefuly to you too.
So a year from about now I hope to sit back and say "Dam! I made 52 songs". That's pretty cool.
